In the oversaturation of the 2024 music scene, ‘Yellow days’ unearths a stripped away soulful experience, immersive and poetic. Standing in the dimly lit crowd the hushed excitement for what was to come was palpable. Pink lights dawned the stage in a saturated glow to reveal a hotel reception desk purposefully decorated with a red rotary dial phone and various props that would play a role in the utterly captivating theatrical performance to come. We as an audience are greeted warmly by our hotel concierge dressed in a uniform reminiscent of a distant but nostalgic era. Welcome to Hotel Heaven.

The crowd is embraced by an operatic, campy and soulful performance. The passionate and thoughtful visuals and audio go hand in hand to bring colour to this dark room nestled in the heart of the city. The gracefully planned act features yearning vocals for all the hopeless romantics of Manchester to consume, blissful smiles by members of the crowd as their pictures are taken by their smiley hotel concierge and an all over memorable experience unlike any show I have had the pleasure of attending.
